The months of June, July, and August are often seen as times to relax and get away. It’s what I call “battery recharging” months. You recharge your batteries for the coming months of school, work, and the many other obligations one has from September through May. It is easy to forget that worship is an opportunity to recharge your spiritual batteries, which are extremely important in the world we live in. Don’t forget to do that – come to worship and get recharged. You’ll be amazed at the spiritual grounding and energy you can receive every week. Throughout the summer Sundays, Dr. Holmes will be doing a sermon series on the Ten Commandments. As familiar as we might be with them, we will be revisiting them and reminding ourselves what they tell us today in 2010. So come to worship, relax, be recharge, and reconnect. |
