Passing of the Peace

We encourage you to contact others in the church, to reach out and connect, to check in on those that might need help, and to let others know the help you need, in mind, body, and spirit, in this uncertain time.

Easter Prayer

The Lord is risen! Alleluia!

Alleluia, The Lord is risen indeed!

This is the day that the Lord has made;

Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Alleluia! The Lord is risen indeed!

This is the good news we have received,

In which we stand, and by which we are saved:

Alleluia! The Lord is risen indeed!

That Christ died for our sins, and was buried,

And rose again on the third day.

Alleluia! The Lord is risen indeed!

He appeared to the women, to Peter, to the twelve,

And to many faithful witnesses.

Alleluia! The Lord is risen indeed!

At last he came to us, that we might come to believe

And proclaim this good news to the world.

Alleluia! The Lord is risen indeed!

Hymn: Thine is the Glory

"March" from Judas Maccabeus by G. Handel

Arranged by Snell

Cornet: Sandra Hawley

Organ: Jusun Kim

1 Thine is the glory, risen, conquering Son;

endless is the victory thou o'er death hast won.

Angels in bright raiment rolled the stone away,

kept the folded grave-clothes where thy body lay.

Refrain:

Thine is the glory, risen, conquering Son;

endless is the victory thou o'er death hast won.

2 Lo! Jesus meets us, risen from the tomb;

lovingly he greets us, scatters fear and gloom.

Let the church with gladness hymns of triumph sing,

for the Lord now liveth; death hath lost its sting. [Refrain]

3 No more we doubt thee, glorious Prince of life!

Life is naught without thee; aid us in our strife.

Make us more than conquerors through thy deathless love;

bring us safe through Jordan to thy home above. [Refrain]

Prayer of the Day - Aliyah Robran

God of mercy, we no longer look for Jesus among the dead, for he is alive and has become the Lord of life.

Increase in our minds and hearts the risen life we share in Christ, and help us to grow as your people toward the fullness of eternal life with you through Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever, Amen.

Scripture: Psalm 118: 1-2, 19-24 - Aliyah Robran

1   O give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;

          his steadfast love endures forever!

2   Let Israel say,

          “His steadfast love endures forever.”

19  Open to me the gates of righteousness,

          that I may enter through them

          and give thanks to the LORD.

20  This is the gate of the LORD;

          the righteous shall enter through it.

21  I thank you that you have answered me

          and have become my salvation.

22  The stone that the builders rejected

          has become the chief cornerstone.

23  This is the LORD’s doing;

          it is marvelous in our eyes.

24  This is the day that the LORD has made;

          let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Second Scripture Mark 16:1-8

1When the sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, so that they might go and anoint him.

2And very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb.

3They had been saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?”

4When they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled back.

5As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man, dressed in a white robe, sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed.

6But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed; you are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has been raised; he is not here. Look, there is the place they laid him. 7But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see him, just as he told you.”

8So they went out and fled from the tomb, for terror and amazement had seized them; and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.

Music: He Is Risen!

Words by Don Besig and Nancy Price Music by Don Besig PPC Choir and Friends

Prayers of the People and The Lords Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

Sending Living God, on the first day of the week you brought to birth a new creation through the glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ. Fill us with the hope and joy of new beginnings, so that we may share the good news of your liberating, life-giving power with all the world; through Christ our Savior, who is alive and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, now and always. Amen.

The blessing of the eternal, triune God –

Alpha and Omega,

First and last,

Beginning and end-

Be with you all!

Alleluia! Amen.
