Throughout the year PPC supports the mission of Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners (IOCP) by volunteering our time to serve in their Retail 101 and the food shelf.  Months that have five Wednesdays have been designated as PPC volunteer night.  The Retail 101 tasks involve receiving donated goods, stocking the racks and general maintaining their retail space.  Tasks with the food shelf involve checking out groceries according to the IOCP protocol

Our food donations are collected each month and distributed to food shelves such as IOCP.  This support allows food shelves to be able to provide food to those who are in the greatest need.  During the month of March we participate in IOCP food shelf contest where the food collected is sculpted/stacked to creatively display donations.  

At Christmas we partner with IOCP by providing gifts through their Adopt-A-Family Program.  We request the names of 15-20 program participants.  A tag identifying the recipient is displayed on a tree which allows the congregation to select a tag with the gift suggestion, and shop for their selection.  The wrapped gifts are returned to PPC by the deadline in early December.  The gifts are for all family members, not just children so the family members have something to open on Christmas.  

5th Wednesdays at Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners  

Plymouth Presbyterian Church has committed to serving at the food shelf and ReSale 101 Store at IOCP on the 5th Wednesday of the month.  Volunteers must be at least in 6th grade to serve.  To get involved, please contact the church office or the Mission Ministry Team by emailing them at
