Senior High Sunday Mornings
Join Mr. Sassan in the Senior High Room for a year of Faith Questions. We'll take 4 or 6 weeks to go deep into a topic like God, God's Creation, Being Presbyterian, or Heaven and Hell using real questions collected from young people across our denomination.
Questions you'll explore this year:
GOD: Why did God allow sin into the world? Does God know what will happen before it happens? If so, why do bad things happen to good people?
GOD'S CREATION: What would Jesus recycle? How are we related to God's creation?
HEAVEN AND HELL: What happens when you die? What is heaven like? What is hell like? How can I get into heaven and stay out of hell?
FORGIVENESS: What motivates God to continue loving us? Why did God make humanity so sinful? Is anything unforgivable? If we are all so bad, why doesn't God just start over in another world?
BEING PRESBYTERIAN: How did the Presbyterian Church get started? How is worship in Presbyterian churches diffrent than in other churches? What do Presbyterians believe about God?
Middle School Sunday Mornings
This year, 6th-8th graders will join Mr. Huenemann in the Middle School Room for a year of Faithfully Asking Questions (FAQ). The questions you will examine were collected from young people throughout the Presbyterian Church (USA).
Some examples:
What does a Christian believe?
What if I don't believe it?
How does what Presbyterians believe differ from what other Christians believe?
Does God love everyone, even the devil?
Why did it take Jesus three days to rise from the dead? What did he do during that time?
Why does God let sin happen?
How do we really get into heaven?
Do people really go to hell? What is hell, anyway?
Bring your questions to the Bible and learn to navigate Scripture as you address issues of life and faith together!
